Retail Tobacco Laws by State
R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company believes smoking causes serious
disease and minors should not use tobacco products. Through the company's
participation in the Coalition for Responsible Tobacco Retailing, Inc. and its
We Card Program, R.J. Reynolds works with retailers and others to help reduce
and prevent youth access to tobacco products.
The We Card program provides training and educational tools to
help retailers teach managers and clerks about asking for ID, how to spot fake
IDs, techniques on how to avoid confrontations with customers, how to properly
use age verification tools, and many more key tips on preventing the underage
